Loaded question!

Actually, you mean "Desktop or Laptop?"

I've always felt that a desktop is a definite over a laptop, because a desktop is almost always more powerful. But I work with high end applications.

If portability is what you need, then definitely get a laptop. The best is to (obviously) have both, but if you can't afford it, then I'd probably suggest a laptop because most people don't need the power of a desktop and would prefer the portability aspect of a laptop more.

Depends on your situation. I am a college student so I bought a laptop, that way I can make my computer mobile. If you don't want to be able to take your computer places I would get the desktop.

Are you referring to a computer as a desktop? If so, you should get a laptop because it's portable and convenient, unlike a desktop.

It depends on HOW and WHERE you plan to use the computer. If for home only, then a DESKTOP, If you are moving around a lot then a LAPTOP.
