No, I simply threaten the computer by holding down the big "ON" button for 4 seconds (5 turns it off), strangely enough, it seems to work after that! (for a while anyways, then it forgets who's the boss of who! : )

Haha that's so funny that other people do too. I always get so mad at electronics and say "I'm going to kill you in 3 seconds" or "You stupid friggin idiot. Why the hell are you so stupid?" lol and then my parents who are upstairs are like "stop that"...which makes me even madder.
I try not to resort to violence on the machines but sometimes it's inevitable.
And then sometimes I try to talk nicely like "Will you please co-operate with me? I'm really frustrated and trying to keep my cool" Seriously, I say that. But I think I prefer the yelling approach.

I threathen to hurl mine out in the road to get ran over by a mac truck and then it starts working fine. Kicking it helps too

when we first got our computer (1997) there were several days when i threatened to throw it out of the window. (it was in the 2nd floor library)
