Its not at my place of work is it as they were advertising? (i work in a call centre on the sex lines) i will look out for and put a good word in although to be honest it wont really matter what you wear, you can tell them your wearing a peep hole bra and crotchless knickers whilst doing naughty things and they believe you!

Yes I know the problem. First impressions count and you do not want to have or feel you have to explain your personal circumstances. You do not need a suit but a decent cheap shirt and trousers will do. You can sort the rest out when you get the job. I would avoid going in a football shirt, it creates a bad impression. Whatever you wear be tidy and clean, it's all a game. Call ceentresd usually have a high turnover in staff so as you say it is a start and you obviously need the job.
Very best wishes

Take some material, certainly you've got some old clothes somewhere, cut something black into a tie shape. Then fin something else you've got that's camouflage, maybe another pair of trousers? Cut those out in the best possible resemblance of an overcoat and sew all of the aforementioned to the red shirt. Now you have what appears to be a camouflage suit! You also now look pretty damn patriotic! Who is going to turn away anyone with that much of a love of our country?
You got that job cinched!

Equal opportunity employment, my friend, but I would see if there was any way to find at least a solid color pair of pants.
Call centers don't generally require you to wear a suit, just to look clean and well kept. So long as you make sure they know you're willing to do your best and make an effort for them, hopefully they will see beyond the clothes!
Best of Luck with the interview!

So.if you get the job, what are you going to go to work in?
Most big offices except casual dress these days, but that does not include football shirts.
Have you tried charity shops? You can usually pick something up at very little cost.
Good luck anyway.

Crispy My Man, Congrats on the interview, don't forget these call centres have arms on their chairs, don't want you sitting in one and then it is still on you when you get up. All the very best mate, I wouldn't want a job as I do well on benefits but I suppose if they are on your back then its best to show willing.
