I have a 48 chevy 4 door coupe that s been in my back feild where it was parked some many years back ,its in fairly good shape .Now I m planning on selling it ,what I need to know is where is a good place to go to see what its worth ..and then where to go to sale it

It will sell a lot faster if it will run.
Pull the plugs and change...check the points... add about a teaspoon of new oil to each of its 6 cylinders... hand crank it a little bit at the pulley to work the oil down the cylinders... change the oil and filter...check all fluids drain the radiator... replace all hoses...drain the fuel from the tank by siphon and drain as much from the fuel hose as possible...add a couple gallons of gas to the tank...add a charged battery and give it a few short cranks to the engine by the key and then start it up but do not race it up. You also might need to adjust the carburetor and the timing. It is not a coupe it is a four door sedan.

Srap steel is at $140 a ton. If a fender,door or 1/4 is good take it of befor scrapping it

rust tittle and will it run is the car complete are the big questions. try auto trader magazine classic car edition or online to check other adds or to list yours ebay and racing junk.com may be good choices as well.

it depends on one thing ....rust!
if it has much it is only a parts car
4 doors are not worth much no mater how good they are
