Any suggested brands?

I have to agree with Elissa. O.B. is a great brand. With Playtex Gentle Glide it always seemed that I leaked, and not because I was using the wrong absorbancy. You might not like the fact of no applicator, but I actually like that because you don't have to throw away anything but a TINY piece of plastic, from the wrapper. They are so discreet that I can put like three in my pocket and nobody even notices! I love them for that, and the fact that they simply have the best protection for me. I have NEVER, I swear, experienced a leak and I no longer have to wear pantiliners just "to be safe". I really hope that if you try them they work for you too, they are simply amazing! If you are put off by the no applicator, let me tell you, I was not interested in that either for a while and avoided them just because of that. But then I just decided to give them a try because of all the rave reviews I've read on other sites about them. Now I am just another author of one of those reviews, not to sound cliche..

Anyways, here's what I use:
Sports: Playtex Sport
Anywhere (especially school): o.b
Beginning and end of period: Tampax Cardboard or Pearl

Playtex GentleGlide or Playtex Sport.

I've tried Tampax and they only expand width-wise so it causes leaks, Playtex tampons open up all around at a full 360 degrees. So it protects you everywhere.

I also like O.B. tampons because they are VERY discreet and if you go to their website they'll give you a cute container to carry them in so nobody knows they're tampons. They also don't produce a lot of trash for our environment because they only have the actual tampon and a little wrapper around it. No applicaters that don't biodegrade.

However, I prefer a DivaCup, no leaks! Good luck!

I use a store brand, but always with a plastic applicator. The cardboard ones scrape me. You're best bet is to buy small packages of several kinds and see what you like best.

I would try a couple of different ones to see which one you prefer. I used Tampax with a cardboard applicator. Make sure you use a size that is comfortable for you as well.

the tampons that hold the most fluid are Kotex, O.B. , and Tampax work the best. When you are on your period.

I like OB. They're easy to put in, because you use your finger, which is flexible and more comfortable than an applicator, and I can carry them discreetly in my pocket and stash one just about anywhere.

They also are really effective and absorbent. No leakage!
