Movies sometimes tend to overexadurate things...

I have been to many towns, including Amsterdam.
I live about half an hour by train from it and I have been there often, at least once a year, but often about once a month.

Amsterdam is a beautiful town, where a lot of things can be seen and done.
But in most towns in the Netherlands you can do and see almost the same things. Only the museums will be different.

And in many a town in the world you can find the same thing. Sometimes less openly displayed, but as far as I know, all that is for sale in Amsterdam is for sale in each world town.

So in short, the things you see in movies might be true, but not in the extremes you find in there.
