...you gotta be talking about the insane horror/comedy from 1990, called "Frankenhooker", directed by Frank Henenlotter, who previously gave us horror fans, the campy classic horror flick, "Basket Case"!!!
...a bunch of hookers in a seedy hotel room, are given some 'super crack' by a young mad scientist, who wants the hookers' body parts to re-create his dead girlfriend (...who was killed, and torn asunder, by a giant remote control lawnmower); smokin' the 'super crack' causes the clueless, hapless hookers to blow up, one by one...and presto!!! Instant Body Parts!!!
(...it was the 'doorknob' clue that struck a cord; one of the hookers was on her knees, reaching for the doorknob, when she met her explosive demise...)
