Um, there is a possibility....The source i put for you shows Hurricane Dean's path. Just click on the picture that wikipedia has. It's path does lead to Mexico, but at the Yucatan Peninsula by Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM. Some meteorologists even say that once it hits the Yucatan Peninsula, it might switch direction up north to the Gulf of Mexico! But then that wouldn't be good for New Orleans... :(
Meteorologists are still unsure about Dean's path, if it'll go straight into Mexico, or up north to the Gulf of Mexico. But, if Hurricane goes into Mexico, it'll lose strength and probably if it hits Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, it'll be down to either a tropical depression to a Category 2 Hurricane. Just have faith, since its still too early to be predicting Hurricane Dean's path. Plus, the path they put shows that Hurricane Dean goes a little up north after it hits the Yucatan Peninsula which means it highly will miss Puerto Vallarta.

Chiprat answer is correct. Hurricane Dean will not cross Mexico and hit Puerto Vallarta.

It will definitely hit Jamaica tomorrow at 2pm......then it is headed to the Cayman Islands....after that it may move toward Cozumel and Cancun if it does not die off. But it will not come near Puerto Vallarta. Say a little prayer for Jamaica right now. My sister has friends vacationing there right now. (I am scheduled to go there in three weeks)

No,
Puerto Vallarta and the Yucatan are separated by two very large mountain ranges and are very far apart, they are in two totally different systems.
don't worry they are far away and just fine.

There is no telling right now where that storm is heading. It could turn north.. south ... keep on going west. Who knows? Hopefully it does not hit Texas that is all i have to say..but we will sure know by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
