I'm hosting a movie party at my house for the neighorhood. The children will be filming the movie the afternoon before and then when we are done the parents will watch it. How do you teach the kids to act the right way. We are doing the play High School Musical. There will also be a kiss with 6th grades, How do I prepare them for that?

No rehearsal? Just a one-off performance?

Sheesh, give me a challenge, why don't you?

First off, you have a built-in audience. Every parent is going to ooh and ahh at little Timmy or Ashleigh or...........

Second off, you are working with untrained kids. Let them be kids! Let them get all EEwwwie about the kiss. It is all in good fun.

Breathe, Relax, Have Fun, and save the video. Who knows?
If little Timmy or Ashleigh become a trainwreck a la Lindsey, you may just retire early.

If they are 6th graders, they should have no problem acting they of coarse are not going to be great at it but they should have the concept of it down, but I think you should ask their parents how they feel about them doing a kissing scene, I wouldn't want to show up to something like that and see my daughter on screen kissing some boy.

Do you have permission to make a film of High School Musical? See royalty information on the script. If you dont, you are violating the copyright laws.

Just tell them to be themselves and make sure that they remember their lines. Make sure though that they are comforatble, otherwise you will not get the desired output from them you want. Good luck.
