Sex Question: How to avoid this, please?

I have a bit of a problem.
I absolutely LOVE having sex with my boyfriend, but oftentimes, I notice that I will be exceedingly sore afterwards, sometimes for a day or two. Tuesday night we had sex, and it was great - last night we had sex, and after a bit, I started to hurt pretty bad - like I was a little raw or something. I had to stop. I love having sex with him, and I want to do it almost everyday - how can I avoid being sore like that?

Helpful facts -

Both of us are fairly experienced - and know what we are doing.

We have been using lube - as much as needed.

He is 'gifted' but not freakishly so - I don't think that's it.

We always do lots of foreplay beforehand.

I am 23 he is 27.

I have never experienced this problem with anyone else - help please!

It's not an infection or a disease - I know that - we both have been tested and I know what a yeast infection is like.

If it feels raw are you using condoms with spermacide? Using them too close together can sometimes cause pain, otherwise it might just be from being too rough and if you are a bit rough then try slowing it down a bit, or it could be from going at it for a long period of time, if so then try longer foreplay so you dont have sex as long. You may also want to try switching lube, maybe that is bothering you. There could be a million reasons, just keep trying different things and eventually you sould be able to figure out why. If not then next time you go to your ob/gyn ask them, and if you and you boyfriend haven't been tested for anything in awhile then it may be time to do so, it's better to know nothing is wrong than to not know something is wrong before it gets worse.

I seriously had the same problem. Come to find out I was allergic to the toy that we were using and the lube would only make it worse. i would burn so bad. Also foreplay can cause rubbing, and even If you think your lubricated enough you might not be. Just try takin it slow at first instead of just goin fast and furious on eachother then increase the pace in just enough time towards the end.

Kudos for providing us with plenty of detail in your question. It helps us help you! Looks like you've already thought of all the basic causes. Here's my 2 cents:

I agree with the possibility of latex allergy or infection. When I began developing a latex allergy it made me red and sore. Also, when I have a yeast infection coming on, that's the first symptom I notice before any discharge/itching--the painful intercourse. When it's yeast, sex feels scratchy and uncomfortable. I've caught it very early that way. (Since I'm a tech in a hospital lab, I can check my own KOH prep at work.)

If you've already ruled out his size, need more lube, rough sex, too much sex, then the next step is the gyno. Even if it's not an allergy or infection, she would have more suggestions.

this could be nothing so dont panic, but it sounds like the early Cervical cancer symptoms.

unusual pain after or during sex which you didn't have before is the most common symptom but some others are bleeding outside the time of your period or a vaginal discharge that smells unpleasant.

You probably don't have cancer. But if you do, the sooner you are treated, the more likely you are to be cured and usually the less treatment you will need to have. so please get it checked out sooner rather than later, all it takes is a simple smear test.

Doctors call pain related to sex 'dyspareunia'. There are many other conditions that cause these symptoms, a lot of them not serious at all.

With all of your facts, I would say that it's probably the amount of sex and the "gusto" you both share during the experience. If putting a good amount of lubricant (KY-or something as good, not less) isn't enough, then the only thing I can think of is, your sex organ needs a rest.

Try sitting in a nice warm to hot bath and just letting it soak. There's nerve endings around the outside and it could be, they're a little "frayed?"

Perhaps you may need more lube then what is needed. Either that or perhaps he is being a little rough with you but you don't notice it as you are enjoying yourself.

But honestly i would make an appointment with you gyn and get checked just in case

It happens to me also. You might want to cut your "sessions" a little shorter, if you are determined to do it more often. Constant friction could be a cause. If it's really causing you a lot of grief, talk with your Gyno about it. I would just suggest giving your self a day or so in between, to heal. I've noticed, and I'm quite a bit older than you, if we put several days between sessions, it so much more INTENSE!! Love it, love it.

Are you using condoms? You may have developed a latex allergy. That is exactly how I found out I was allergic to latex. You should go see a gyno just to be safe.

hmmm...maybe it could because u do it often....sex is good..but too much of anything is harmful ..hope u know,it's even applicable for sex...
try making it once a week...and don't use excess lubricants ,u never know what side effects it can cause.....
just try to control ur eagerness and wait for sometime like a day or two get better....better late than never..

Use a different type of lube or no lube at all. But if you use no lube and no condom make sure to get it wet somehow before puttting in. Cause ouch.
