Definitely John Lucas. Juan Carlos is a very common name in Spanish, and while John is definitely a common name too, it's not being used as much these days, so he'll stand out.

Juan Carlos is very common in hispanic countries. I would prefer John Lucas, although Lucas doesn't make me happy either. How about John Luke, depends on the last name and how you want it to sound.

john lucas is the better name, theres too many juan carlos already and we dont need another 1. if you want to be unique go with john lucas

I like john lucas better. I can think of at least 5 juan carlos' i went to school with.
You could always go with something more unique too..

I like Juan Carlos and if you are Hispanic, culturally it's a cool name. A strong name!
John Lucas was my g-pa's name so I also like that.
