Another question on board was a reminder to examine my own attitude (cynical) toward life. A cynical attitude would eat me alive if it weren't for some humor and candid view of life. Could it be that a cynic is only a way to cope in this cynical world?

I think that if we don't accept God as the source of all meaning and purpose, then any and all psychological tricks are needed to get through life against the overwhelming pointlessness of it all. Humor is good. Focus on the small happinesses. Do some praiseworthy deeds so the ego/self worth can be inflated.

I live because it is all I know. I know that when things die they seem to cease to be alive as far as I know. I don't fear death but I avoid it at all costs.
