I'm a cornet player, and was taught some years ago by the bloke who had been six-time all-Ireland cornet champion - Ron Kennedy.
I've also taught cornet to grade 2, and general singing lessons to children.

Yeah!!
I play the euphonium. (It's a brass instrument, just like a miniture version of a tuba), which I've played since primary 4
The keyboard (we were taught it in music since 1st year
And the piano (Which is my favourite one to play just now), which i started proper lessons 1 year ago. But my aunty taught me when i was younger.
Also in primary school we were taught to play the recorder! I picked up my brother's the other day, I can still remember how to play twinkle twinkle!

Yes. I play the viola. I've been getting lessons at school since the 4th grade and private lessons since the 6th grade.
I also play guitar and piano, both I taught myself.

I'd love to play a musical instrument.
I only had recorder lessons when I was at school and don't think I had much chance of joining a band through recorder playing sadly.

Yes.
I began piano at age 5 and violin at age 8. I'm still involved in orchestra for violin except i recently stopped taking lessons because I feel they weren't giving me enough of a challenge and they were a waste of time. Plus, I do intruments as a hobby, I don't want to pursue it.

Drums -- rock and roll ! ! !
Did I have lessons ? Noooo... not as such.
I listened a lot to other bands and their drummers... a lot and lot.... and eventually, if you have any talent, it will begin to show. By listening to other genius drummers you are NOT copying their style but listening to them and how they EXPRESS themselves on the drums. I have so many "heroes"... For technique, precision drumming, the drummer of Led Zeplin (sorry his name was Bohanon... something). Exciting drumming ? No doubt Van Halen's brother.... And in Jazz ? Louis Belson.
I don't like many modern day drummers... all they do is make too much use of the modern repeat beating bass drum pedals or whatever those are called.
