The Raiders had the 3rd Overall best defense in the NFL last seaoson, it seems like no one knows that cares about that. Everyone knows the offense was hurrendous, dead last in every category, but with the new coaching staff in offense and all the new aquasitions they have on offense they should get a boost i'm not saying theyre gonna be in the top offenses, but if they can just be an average offense, maybe this team can go somewhere witht the defense being one of the best. Last year agaisnt the steelers the offense had - 1 yards the whole game, yet we still won the game cause our great defense. All im saying is that if this team can improve in offense and be an average offense, this team could upset other teams, they could actually make a run in the AFC west for atleast 2nd place... what do uguys think?

Man I'm sick and tire of peoples don't give us any respect hell with them, if you don't give us the respect, i guess we gonna have to earned by beating them on the field. We got a great defense last year and all they can talk about is how horrible we are on offense. If not one thing for us it's the other thing, whatever wait and see how how we gonna improve this year under a new coach. Hopefully the signing of Dante Culpepper will revive our offense and pump some new blood into our team. And Jamarcus Russell is the future, but we don't need him right now, let him sit on the bench and learn from the veterans. But other than that the Raiders future look good, i don't care about those haters. And i predict we make the playoff with a 9-7 record, our offense gonna be good again, and our defense is gonna be awesome, just like last year. Go Raiders!

I believe they will be a team will come out of nowhere and get a 8-8 record liek the New York Jets did last year. Now with the addition of Russel i think they have a chance. Even though they lost Randy Moss they need a who can actually make the play happend. Am i right?

the Raiders have no offense. NONE. Even if Russell signs it won't help this year. Culpepper? your kidding right. Who's going catch the ball. They will be lucky to win 6.
Oh and btw I actually go to Raiders games. My family has owned tickets on the 40 yard line for 25 years, both in Los Angeles and in Oakland.

They can improve. They will improve, but it cant be that impressive, it would take about 2/3 years to rebuild the Raiders. This is football, I live for this stuff, with all the trades, transfers, getting even great players to workout and not hold out.

On paper, maybe. But Really. Do YOU think thats possible?

Have you had your drug and alcohol problem long? You have to be drunk or stoned to actually think anything as ridiculous as that. At best the Raiders might beat out KC for last in the AFC West but even then they might win 6 or 7 games for the year.

You must have the words least and most confused. You need an offensive line to be good.....a quarterback will help. You have a good defense but are a couple of years from being a good team if you are lucky......and we are not. Though I dislike borderline hate but that is like work, they arent ready to be a good team until the ownership changes

hahahahaha.. umm let me think.. NO

you tend to forget the raiders are in a very competitive division (SD, Denver, KC).. they are the most undisciplined team in the league.. and they still have no offensive line.. so jamarcus russel (if they even sign him) and/or daunte is going to get killed out there

plus al davis is still a tool of an owner who needs to croak like today

Not this year, but I bet they've got a shot at the playoffs in '08.
