Are you acting to get noticed? School plays are great to get your feet wet. From a professional standpoint they mean nothing. If you put them on your resume you will most likely be laughed at. You can't just go to an audition. It doesn't work that way. It takes more years than you've probably been alive to become a successful actor. Just keep doing school plays and maybe get involved in a kid's theater group. Don't worry about getting famous. Just keep doing it for fun and maybe something will come out of it later.

Ok, well you said that you wouldn't get an agent until you landed a movie role. An agent is pretty much the only way you can get a movie role. I say get more involved, like it's great that you've done several plays but I think you should do more. Like get involved in your church plays if your church does. It's called self promotion, I have gotten noticed in me being in a play, don't do acting to get noticed, do it cuz you love to do it. Honestly going to a casting session and you have no headshot or resume, you probably will get laughed at. I'm saying this in the nicest way possible. The person who's like 2 spaces above is a little negative but look past that. Just look at what he's saying besides the negative stuff.

Good Luck!

I'm actually working on a play right now. lol.

Agents will only represent you if you can prove that you can make money. Landing an agent is not the be-all and end-all of a professional career.

Let us face some unpleasant facts: You are only as valuable as the amount of money that you can make for other people. You are a commodity, not unlike a set of tires or an orange juicer. Show business has nothing to do with artistic talent. It is a business.

"How can I become a commodity?" I hear you cry.

Study, study, study, act, act, act, learn, learn, learn.

Once you have your Chops, you can write your own ticket.

P.S. : You need an agent to land a movie

Perform in your local community theater. An agent may see your performance and invite you for an interview.
