Do you believe this is because of Walmart?

You are not the only one. Anyone with a social conscience does not like walmart. They represent the worst of capitalism.

"When you purchase a shirt in Walmart, do you ever imagine young women in Bangladesh forced to work from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week, paid just 9 cents to 20 cents an hour, who are denied health care and maternity leave; screamed at to work faster; with monitored bathroom visits; and who will be fired for daring to complain or ask for their rights?

At the Beximco factory in the Dhaka Export Processing Zone in Bangladesh, there are 1,000 workers, at least 80 percent of them young women, sewing shirts and pants for Walmart and other retailers. Beximco is a sweatshop, where human rights are systematically violated."

Companies are always trying to find cheaper ways of making money. Companies have been moving to China, Mexico etc... way before Walmart. Walmart is a company that helps millions. Some people that couldn't get jobs anywhere else find work at Walmart. look up the show Penn & Tellers Bull S**t. they have a special on Walmart and they explain all the good things about Walmart.

no you are not but its not because of the reason you stated...i detest walmart because as convenient and less expensive as its supposed to be its not convenient so i would rather spend a few pennies more at a smaller retail store like kmart or target....usually by the time i park i am so sick of it that i just want to go home before i even get inside.....i only go into walmart about once every 4-6 months and thats only if i have to.....i dont think that our economy or ability to make ends meet is the fault of walmart though

When walmart first came about they were all big into "made in America" now its just about TRYING to make money. I don't like Walmart bcuz of what it is like when I shop there. They hire people who don't speak english, this bugs the CRAP out of me. How are illegals getting jobs there if they can't speak english? So irritating. They cater to those people for slave labor.

Walmart provides many jobs, and low prices.

The problems with Chinese imports are because of Federal Trade Policies, not Walmart.
