You should not want her living with her boyfriend in the first place. You should want what would be best for her, which is to continue her education and make a good life for herself. You are responsible for her until she is 18, so sure you could get into trouble. If anyone found out about it, the state could take her away from you as well. That is like giving your child away in their eyes. I do not understand how you could even consider letting her do this. You are the adult, not her. Do not let her screw her life up if you have not already. I do not mean to judge you, you know what is best for her, but I cannot understand a parent allowing a child do this unless she has his child, and even then I would not be able to part with my child or grandchild. I would still have to keep them both at home with me. However, I do understand if there are problems at home and she needs to get away from them. But I would have to let her live with relatives instead until I could get on my feet and get everything in order for her to come back home. I just do not know about that, but yes, you can get into trouble over it if it is found out.

It depends on where you live, how old the boyfriend is, and how you as the parents feel about it. Do you think your sixteen year old is really prepared to support herself? I'm not questioning your judgement becuase I have learned that mothers always know best for their children, especially for their daughters. I know that children can be emancipated from their parents at age sixteen so I really think that she could live by herself but if she were to get into trouble for anything it will come back on you until she turns 18. Good luck to you and your daughter.

After two more years; i.e. on reaching 18 years. Why are you so cold in your question? Are you bothered about your getting into trouble because of her minor status? Don't you feel that early cohabitation with a boyfriend puts your daughter in risk of premature pregnancy and possible risk to life itself? Please think things in a cool and detatched manner. I can understand your frustration at the stubbornness of the immature girl; but you are the mature person and you have a higher responsibility in the situation to make her see reason.

if your a mom learn how to spell "does." instead of dose. anyways,
1. she's 16 she should not be moving out
2. don't help her at all; shes on her own. if she doesn't want to finish her high school education; she's dead to the world. that's so crucial nowadays, most people go to college!
3. just tell her what i told you. she will regret not completing school. and she will regret moving in with her boyfriend; once he gets her pregnant.;]

good luck + tell her what i told you

Well, in some areas. It actually depends on where you live.
In Missouri it's 17.

SHE IS STILL A MINOR, SO IF SHE GETS IN TROUBLE YOU COULD STILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE, IF SHE DOSEN'T STAY IN SCHOOL YOU COULD BE IN TROULBLE, IF YOUR DAUGHTER IS TRUSTWORTHY AND YOU BELIEVE SHE WILL DO OKA, IT'S YOUR CALL. I PERSONALLY WOULD SAY NO, NOT TILL SHE WAS 18. BUT GOOD LUCK TO YOU !!
