I created a league in fantasy football and ten teams joined the league. The problem I have is that only 4 teams will make the playoffs and they're asking if I can change it to six teams making the playoffs instead of four
Is there anyway I can do that after the draft has been in effect?

no, you as commissioner can't adjust the playoffs after the draft...
but if login to your league, at the top right is the Help link...
go there
choose any category
choose and question
at the bottom is the link to contact Customer Care
email them the playoffs you want....these are your options:
None, ends in week 17
Week 15 and 16 4 teams w/4 in consolation
Week 16 and 17 4 teams w/4 in consolation
Week 14, 15 and 16 6 teams w/no consolation
Week 15, 16 and 17 6 teams w/no consolation
Week 14, 15 and 16 8 teams w/no consolation
Week 15, 16 and 17 8 teams w/no consolation
just let them know which one of those you want and they'll adjust the league...

Why would the draft have any bearing on the number of teams in your playoff?

it depends, who's FFL are you using? ESPN?
