Tattoos, Piercings....Erotic Modifications? When you see someone with a smattering of body art what are your thoughts? Why do you get pierced and tattooed....What do you think about the whole stereo type surrounding it....let me hear some inked out opinons...!

Just like anything else there is good and bad about it... that should be read "attractive" and "unattractive". But of course, what one person like or finds attractive, another won't.

Personally I like some piercings, but more that 3 or four on a face/body part often detracts from the natural features. Same with tattoos, a well done tattoo, strategically place is nice, but a hodgepodge of ill designed and poorly executed tattoos is ugly (my opinion).

Taboo? No not taboo, just a personal preference, like most other things.

I am a 40 year old woman. I have 2 little girls. I work in an office and I have a Tattoo on my leg. I wear pants all the time at work but last year at our Christmas party I wore a dress. The people that I worked with could not believe that I had a tat. "you don't look like the type" they said. I said and what type would that be?
It is up to the person that is putting the art on them. I always tell people what ever you get make sure you can live with that for the rest of your life. You can cover them up but it is a lot of $$$$ to get them removed.

I think tattooed women are crazy hot. I like them to be strategically located, certain places really turn me on.

I like free expression- and I like that tattoos and piercing have a connection to history. I really do think people should think very carefully about what they are planning to put permanently on their body, and the tattoo should be a reflection of who they are (no flash for me!). But, they are also addictive, and people are always changing, so when I look at the tat I had done when I was 20, I know I'm not the same guy, but its cool to reflect on it- a permanent, visible expression of my experience.
In some Native American cultures, people would paint their self-expression on their shield or lodge. Other's would know just by looking what their dreams, visions, interests were; what they loved and feared in life. Tattoos are our shields that we carry with us all the time.
The stereotype is fading. First- sailers, armed forces, then Harley rats, bad boys, gang members- tattoos being most limited to some "subculture" is going away. Tattoos are more popular today than ever- spanning age, gender, ethnic identity, truly universal. People have been modifiying their appearance since the very beginning, in every culture. The Human family will never stop expressing itself utilizing the only thing we truly own- our bodies.

I say to each his or her own. Im not a judgemental person by nature, or at least i try really hard not to be. And i feel that everyone has the right to like or dislike certain things.

Personally, i LOVE tats & piercings on myself and my partner. I have 3 tattoos (2 more to come), and 2 body piercings (one more to come). My girlfriend has 2 tats and one body piercing. I find them to be very sexy and expressive. Now, I do have a limit of tats & piercings for myself, as i don't want to possibly jeopardize my career, but if someone wants to have full body work/alteration...who am i to say it's wrong?

Like most things some people do them and look amazing and some people look like freaks. Just depends on how much thought a person puts into it before hand.

My daughter (19) has gotten Oh I don't even know anymore 3-4-5 piercings on her face (nose, eyebrow, septum, lip) and I think they look terrible. It reminds me of marking the cattle on our farm. She looks like a fool and wonders why she can't find a part-time job (she is a full time college student right now).

I think it depends on how much thought they put into it.

I think girls with tattoos that are strategically placed are hot..but I think girls with sleeves are ridiculous.

I think peircings are hot, but not when there's more metal than your face.

I used to have my eyebrow, tongue, labret, and *cough* nipples peirced, but took them out becuase of school and work. I also have one tattoo with one more to come.

I like peircings better than tattoos. At least with peircings, they're removable. Also..I don't care much for the large ear guaging thing.

I like them. I don't have any...anymore...my partner doesn't like the piercings or tats...GOODNESS knows I want tats, but I have to respect his wishes.

I think it takes an enormous amount of courage to decorate your body. I give total props to anyone that does.

I'm gay, and I think she's HOT! That should answer your question. Me, personally, I have two tattoos (you can see one in my 360 pic) and I think tatts and piercings are very sexy. :)
