One of the things that causes the odor is H2S gas.
It is water soluble.
The odor might decrease somewhat.
Do be aware that the mix varies, and some samples will smell more strongly, so your problem is in getting uniform samples.

Yep they do, sometimes it makes them worse and the scent sticks in the air.

no they dont. the moisture from the water dillutes the smell.
