i have an 1988 Hond CRX, and everytime i step on the brakes it makes a rumble sound, the whole car rumbles really bad specially when stopping at a red light
i also notice that when the car is a bit warmer it idles down back to 850rpm and the sound is gone
wat could this be

I think you've worn your breaks down to bare metal, and are doing dangerous damage to your stopping system.

Why it goes away when the idle comes down is a mistery to me, but hey - get the breaks checked pronto.

A car that can't go can't hurt you, but a car that can't stop * * *.

I would take the car into a brake repair shop and get it checked out for sure.
