My question is should the insurance company have paid the depreciation of the car because of the accident. I am currently about to get a new car and upset of the loss in value of it. I know there's the new car depreciation and I am not complaining about that. I am only wondering about the "body work over $3000" depreciation. Should I talk to a lawyer/insurance agent?

If you feel that the insurance company is not giving you enough then talk to the lawyer. I hate to say this but the 08 models will be out soon, so they will say your car is two years old. You will probably just be out the cost of the lawyer, but that is your right.

Good luck.

i think if i was you id go and talk with a lawyer on it,that seems really high on that,it shouldn't have depreciated that much.it just don't sound right ,id at least talk with a lawyer and see what he said about it,good luck with it.
