I think the term goodness is a relative term and a very vivid one. Imagine a situation where your friend is into drugs and all that. he and you, both know thgat its not good for him but there is a point till where you can explain him but once you cross dis line you tend to be a pain for him.
But in the same situation if you do not do anything there is smthing in u that tells u smthing is not right. So I think the question "whether true goodness is like water in that it blesses everything and harms nothing? " depends on the term true goodness itself.

NO. There are inevitably no perfect true goodness in terms of ramifications of any decision, action, or being. There are bad consequences of any kind--mental, psychological to say the least. There is never a true goodness that radiates perfect goodness in the ramifications of rippling effect.
