I disagree. I think Scotland put up a spirited effort in the field with some good stops however there were a few run-out let offs and they allowed far too many quick singles against the openers, Uthappa and Gambhir. I think the rain breaks had no effect on their rhythm because after the first rain interval, Gavin Hamilton and Neil McCallum had a solid partnership which was the only reason Scotland got anywhere near 200. Also, after the second break, Craig Wright exploded with a few big hits to propel them up to 203/9. Ryan Watson gave it away after a reprieve and too many soft dismissals.

When it came to the bowling department, Scotland did themselves no hard whatsoever with some good bowling upfront from Paul Hoffman (In his last ODI) and John Blain. After Uthappa attacked, Scotland fell apart a bit but still kept trying to get ride of Karthik and the explosive Yuvraj. Overall, I think India will definitely be happy with their batsman with Yuvraj impressing everyone with a compelling cameo and the openers showing what they can produce. The bowlers, especially Ajit Agarkar, will cause some concern ahead of the 7 ODI's against England as he was a little wayward.

As far as Scotland are concerned, they had a good outing. They didn't really challenge the Indians but did themselves no harm with decent fielding, good bowling upfront and a nice 80-odd partnership. Well Done to Scotland and hopefully they can improve and give India a better run for their money when India tour England next in 2011 or maybe even in the Twent-20 format. In that shortened version, you can't count anything out.

Vakayil K, with the utmost respect, how can you expect a 37 year old bowling little medium pacers to a young attacking batsman to possibly be menacing?

it may be boring if God treats all and sundry equivalent. it is like making the completed international inhabitants exchange into Stormtroopers without rebels to combat with. boring. So, to make existence a touch greater exciting for God. He made human beings stay in diverse factors with diverse climate. Now it is high quality entertainment!!! It rains in u.s. because of the fact there are greater Christians and Jews who have faith in Him there. Africans besides the undeniable fact that have faith purely in Lion King, or Aslan. God is a jealous God and he punishes people who don't think in Him. for that reason, NO RAIN FOR AFRICA!!
