I'm going to Japan next week and flying in to Narita. I'm staying at my friend's house, which is pretty far from Tokyo. Before I go down there I want to spend a couple days around Tokyo, and I don't want to drag my luggage around.
So the question is--can I send my luggage ahead to her house using Kuroneko or something? Do they have a counter inside the airport, outside the airport. . .?
I know you can send your luggage TO the airport, so I assume you could send it from the airport as well. . .but does anyone have any details? Thank you!

I do that every time cos I don't wanna drug my suitcase when I am tired.

Each arrival hall holds courier services, you don't need to climb up to the departure hall.
And if you arrived at Narita in the morning, your suitcase would be delivered to your hotel or friend's place next day. If it is afternoon or evening, would be delivered the next day tomorrow.

1,700-2,200yen (depends on the size).

Sending Luggage Ahead

Yes, you can send your luggage from Narita airport to any address in Japan - there are luggage counters in the airport (just follow the signs in English), all you need to do is give them your luggage, fill in some paperwork and pay the fee. Depending on where you're sending it, it might arrive the same day or it may take up to three days to arrive.

Depends on your location, yes, you can..there are cheaper rates .if you have time you can check around.. If you don't have anybody to pick you up.check the train schedules or bus schedules before checking your baggages so you'll know how much time you needed to purchase tickets
You can inquire the moment you arrive at the airport, there are English speaking staffs, they can help you. You can send it to your friend house or destination or even leave stuffs that you'll not going to need for a tour around like heavy baggage for days/weeks before your final return to your country
Have a nice trip!

See http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/guide/service/list/svc_05.html
There are some delivery service counters in Narita airport.

In this page, Yamato means Kuroneko Yamato by the way.

Yes, there is a counter for takyubin inside the airport close to where you emerge from customs. Folks arriving with skis, golf clubs, scuba gear, etc. etc. make good use of it, and it makes a lot of sense in your case.
