It seems like there are lots of films with a scene in which the hero ends up in a garage filled with classic cars and he gets to pick one. I can't think of any examples though. Little help?

...how about the offbeat and intriguing comedy "Into the Night", from 1985

Michelle Pfeiffer's character, Diana, had just introduced Jeff Goldblum's character, Ed, to her insanely rich, and bed-ridden best friend, protector and mentor, Jack (played by Richard Farnsworth), and just had asked him for his help; despite being forced off the property by Jack's estranged wife (played by Vera Miles), Jack insisted that Ed, who had just reluctantly volunteered to help Diana settle a mob-associated situation involving some stolen emeralds, pick from his personal fleet of luxury cars, parked in front of the house.
