I mean really, they know their junk food is what sells. Are their efforts to make a "healthy" menu even taken seriously?

McDonald's is trying to offer more choices, and they are doing it for one reason. They want to make money! They have always tried new things on the menu, and if they sell well, they continue to offer them. If they do not sell, they are quietly removed!

Right now there is a perceived demand for "healthier" food. McDonald's is responding by offering different items. If people want the food they offer they will buy it!

Why do you think that 60% of Americans are obese? Mcd is junk as well as all other junk food places.

When I first heard of this "Healthy" menu on the news I almost died from laughing so much! I don't think this new menu of theirs is the better way to go because you'll get the same thing from Micky D's no matter where you order it from: lots and lots of grease......

Yes, it's a huge joke AND an insult to our intellegence. but I've noticed they have more chicken sandwiches now than hamburgers. Why do people even go to McD's, if not for the burgers.

I think they are trying to attract the health conscious customer but for me it is a joke because when I purchase a salad, I still order fries!!

Have you seen the movie Supersize me. It really tells you about the McDonald food chain and their "Healthy" options.

Their salads actually have sugar in them and so does the dressing. And their fruit parfait is not really healthy.

Trust me, No fast-food chain has healthy options (exept apples and tiny salads)

Maybe by adults, but when I take my kids to McD's they want fries and greasy burgers and sodas. I try not to eat there at all but when I do it's not to get a salad.

At least they're trying. I mean fast food in general is not good - the sodium a lone is ridiculous but... what can you expect from a chain this big.
