The North Pole is an exact location at the very top of this planet. The Northern Hemisphere is anywhere above (North of) the Equator. Anywhere South of the Equator is in the Southern Hemisphere.

The North Pole is one of two surface points on the axis that earth rotates around. (If you think about a globe, it spins on a pole through it. The North pole is where this pole meets the top of the globe). The South pole is the point on the south end of the Earth. The south pole has an actual pole there, because it is on land, so it will always be the same. The North pole, however, does not lay on land... it is technically on ice that is always floating around, so they can't put a pole there because it would float away.

The earth has two hemispheres, north and south. The northern hemisphere is anything and everything above, or to the north of the equator.

The North Pole is the northernmost point on Earth; it defines latitude 90° North, as well as the direction of True North. At the North Pole all directions point south.

While the South Pole lies on a continental land mass, the The North Pole is located in the middle of the Arctic Ocean, amidst waters that are almost permanently covered with constantly shifting sea ice

There are imaginary lines used by people to divide the earth into different sections, called hemispheres. Hemi- means "half" and sphere means "globe."
The line that divides the earth into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres is called the equator.
The line that divides the earth into the Western and Eastern Hemispheres is called the Prime Meridian, running through Greenwich, England.

Hemisphere literally means Half and Sphere, that is, half of a sphere. for earth, it means either the lower or the upper half. an imaginary line running along the centre of the earth, horizontally, is called Equator. above it all the earth is called the northern hemisphere, and similarly all the earth's region below it is southern hemisphere. the uppermost region of the northern hemisphere is covered in ice and is called the north pole, likewise, v also hv a south pole.
