Not banned, but I agree with Scorpionbabe that some of the more personal attacks on members need to be looked at more closely. I've not been here that long but practically every day since I have registered I've seen some very brutal and abusive attacks on people, some even involving member's children which is a dirty tactic and really spoils the purpose of the category surely?
Bullying and aggression are never nice characteristics, whether it's online or not, it's immature and creates a very sour environment for those who wish to be adults and discuss news and current events.
I think some people on here use the McCann divide purely to indulge in hostile and unpleasant behaviour and for some reason others encourage it

As frustrating as I find so many of the McCann questions, I don't support that idea.

Just because some people choose to post inflammatory questions and answers does not alter the fact that the story remains a current event and is, therefore, appropriate for discussion here.

For the worst offenders, there is the "Report Abuse" link.

I don't think they should be banned, however I think they should be monitored as some posts have been extremely sick.

I would fall into the category of 'anti' but I certainly find some questions have no relevance to the case and are just posted to cause trouble between regular members.

I'm pretty sick of a lot of them, but I don't think they should be banned.

It's an open forum for people to ask whatever they feel.

I think however, that if it is a Maddie-related question, then posters should be requested to put the word "McCann" in the title, then people can choose whether to open it or ignore it.

I don't think they should be banned but maybe Y/A should introduce a catergory specifically for Maddy questions, that way you can chose if you want to answer them rather than wading through them to avoid if you want to.

I agree with Scorpionbabe, Lambo and MsHighwater. This case remains a high profile news event and to remove it from News would be ridiculous. It would be better to remove the people who post the spiteful comments, which have little bearing on the case's latest updates.

Not at all, just because a select few are on this so often those questions annoy them now doesnt mean a current event should not be discussed.
