If you don't fit in at that other place, if it is bringing you down, take your skills to a happier shop. Have you employed at shops you really like? With the upcoming holiday season, most shops will be hiring seasonal help, so more jobs should be available in the nicer shops. Do your homework now and visit the shops, get to know the managers, keep going back and observe the clientele and the inventory, so if and when you get hired you will be more familiar with the shop and more helpful on the job.
Good Luck.

If you are only helping them out for free don't put up with their nonsense. If it is paid work that you are doing, then their attitude is because maybe they feel threatened by you in some way. If the majority are nice to you, make friends with them and get them on your side and leave the moaners to their own devices.
