When the stock market goes up, its not because of Bush or his economic policies. But when the stock market drops, its all because of Bush and his economic policies?
Did I get that right?

Stock markets are usually volatile at times during any President's term. It's neither here nor there.
However you are correct, that Dems seem to turn a blind eye towards our overall economic progress under President Bush. They still think we're in a recession or poor economy, despite great GDP increases and job gains starting in 2003.
That's no surprise though. Standard Democrat propaganda is that we are all just 1 paycheck away from standing in depression era soup lines, except for the fat cats that Bush helps.

Actually we have been putting more emphasis on the budget deficit and it is the cons. who brag when the market goes up that their boy is doing well. Since they believe that we merely state the obvious that if they depend on the markets to prove the great economy than we can come back at them with the same when the market is not showing a great economy.
We know that there is more to the economy than the stock markets. Lately that is what most neocons have been touting as proof of their boy's success. Try looking at the deficit, the debt. How are loans for small businesses and people with good credit coming?

Yes it is his economic policies that drive the stock market both up or down but today it is down. The point is that even if stocks go up one day the "general" future of our economy is at risk and it is going to have a ripple effect on the entire country especially because of the large amount of debt we are in.

stock market is only one indicator of the state of the economy
When the bill for Bush's war and the total 9 trillion dollar deficit he has run up finally hits home, the stock market could be 40,000 points, but if it costs $600 for a gallon of gas it won't matter.
How do you think this deficit will be paid for?
Will they steal the Social Security funds like Reagan did?
Do you realize a trillion dollars is 1000 million dollars!!
or 10,000 homes selling at $100,000 !!
Will Republican revisionist history tell their grandchildrens children that will still be paying this off, that Bush was a democrat?

Nah.
Its mostly the higher ups getting the come uppins.
Not the president, they're only responsible for policies that cater to the upper crust. Not for putting them there.
Stock market, schlock market.
