Certainly, before we invaded Iraq oil was at $22 a barrel and falling. Executives at Exxon and Chevron were having to sell off thier private islands to afford $2 million dollar Birthday Party's.

Now they are doing fine.
How about you?

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !!!!

The article states, "Operation Iraqi Freedom was carried out with a combination of precision and speed and boldness the enemy did not expect, and the world had not seen before." So I think it may of been the mission "Iraqi Freedom". But I cant say for sure thats why he was there.

Now, what was really accomplished was getting oil. Attacking Iraq took the light off of Osama, which was trained by our government in the 1970's specifically for what he did when 9/11 happened, he took the blame so we would have a reason to go over there and attack. Don't you think its odd that we hear absolutely nothing about Osama anymore, and he was the reason we went over there because he supposedly attacked us on 9/11, when the reality it was our own governmet. Now were in Iraq fighting a battle over oil with lies like, "Liberate Iraq" when the reality is they were doing just fine till we attacked, or the original lie, "to stop terrorism," or, "they have weapons of mass destruction". My question is, why doesnt America wake up to the lies that are spewed by the nazi president bush? Hes the new age Hitler in alot of respects. Did you know the death tole for Iraqis is over 1 million now? Hes well on his way to 6million, and for what, oil and money.

The next stop is one of a couple places, Syria, Iran, or Pakistan. Now, if we attack basically anyone else, Russia has threatened to attack Isreal, China has threatened to attack us, and North Korea will be in the mix as well. But, its all predicted in the bible, so maybe America is what helps fulfill the prophecy.

The banner referred to the mission accomplished by the carrier strike force. They had sailed from the States, carried out offensive aerial operations against targets in Iraq and sailed home.
The major military operations against the Iraqi armed forces were over. Their vaunted army came apart like the seams on a cheap suit.

Exactly that. The set piece battles were finished. The Iraqi army broke and ran, which is not something new for them.

The current mission is nation building which is a heck of a lot harder.

the invasion...was what he was referring to.. but, as usual, things on the ground change during the course of warfare. we cannot look into our crystal balls and determine the future. but too many people want to twist that comment into something negative... what does your question accomplish?? what is it's intention? exactly. nothing.
