Like they said it was not terrorist related but the weird thing is the bridge was tested last year and was said to be good to go until 2020, so why the hec did it collapse? Tell me what you think! I think the Media/Government only tells us what they want us to hear!

What more needs to be said? How can the tests find every little flaw? Experts acknowledged the bridge was aging and had cracks that needed attention. They took a chance that it would hold and they were wrong. Deteriorating infrastructure, poor maintenance, negligence...I think that's about the whole story.

It's a lot more appealing to blame catastrophes on "terrorism" and it would make a better story. Undoubtedly if there were any chance of it being true the media would leap on it for that reason.

Your facts are wrong, the bridge was having problem for the last five years, but the money for repairs went else where, it's called politics, again the government thinks they know how to best spend our money, also to add to the facts and all the facts are not out there yet the person who was in charge to inspecting the bridge and who knew the condition of this bridge left months before the collapse, just left his job, why I do not know but they tracking him down to get more answers on why he didn't do his job properly and why he didn't report the findings.

A. We'll find out what made it collapse when the NTSB finishes its investigation and issues its report.
B. The media told us everything that they were told. Most of them only know how to read and write a press release anyway.
C. The bridge was over forty years old and traffic loads had increased remarkably over the years.

Its called "risk management" also known as "tombstone management" as long as there aren't too many tombstones there are no problems. Industry uses this all the time, they took a chance with peoples lives and the people lost. Also politics plays a big factor people don't want higher taxes, don't want to pay tolls but want everything to be brand spanking new for ever. So somethings has to give and usually its the things that people can't see that goes by the wayside.
