Yes, I love it. It's even fun to play with a novice, because the rules are so easy to learn. But it's what my friend the game designer called a "game of perfect information," which means it really is all skill, no luck involved. I think you'll like it.

P.S. I'm told it was originally called Reversi, and invented by gluing checkers together.

"a minute to learn, a lifetime to master". Don't know if that was just a marketing slogan or if it really was true, but one of it's appeal is due to that. I had several versions of this game on my Palm PDA, (now down to 1 for space reasons) and give it a quick go when I need to pass time. At least on harder levels, I won when i take back up to 5 moves per game :x

Don't know if thsi or Reversi was the original name though.

Yes, but only on the computer. I'd probably do better against a human opponent. It's a very challenging game!

Yes...my grandmother had this (and only this) board game. Needless to say she was very good at it.
