Let's assume that they are all honorable, law-abiding humans and among the top skills in their profession and field.
Who deserves the most adoration and admiration based upon what they do for a living?
Why?

So, without taking into account your reasons for voting the way you did, we have the score as:
teachers: 3
doctors: 3
soldiers: 9
And I know they all have value and that, ultimately, without one, the other two would not be able to perform their responsibilities with the most skill available.
I also wonder if posting this question in "Politics & Government" resulted in any bias at all toward the soldiers. But you can investigate that with your own 5 points.

You're essentially saying that actors and musicians deserve more praise and respect than firefighters, I just hope that you realize that.

Based on my experiences and observations I would rank the Soldier first, Doctor second, teacher third.
Soldiers, in the USA, are volunteers. The pay stinks. He/She may be placed into a combat situation anywhere in the world and is expected to kill and/or die. Poor judgment by a soldier can result in the loss not only of their own life but also the life of their comrades. They are away from their families for extended periods of time. Those who have seen combat will carry those horrific memories for the rest of their lives.
Doctors have sacrificed much of their time and energy and finances to become a doctor. They too hold the power of life and death in their hands. They too sacrifice time with their families in order to serve their patients. However the pay more than compensates them for their efforts and when was the last time a doctor made mistake that killed him and not the patient.
I have very little respect for teachers. ( product of NYC school system )
They are not tested, they are not held accountable for their failures, They work 180 days a year 6 hours a day, then cry that they do not make enough money. They have the entire summer off, they cannot be fired. I have read notes from teachers that contain spelling and punctuation errors that look like they were written by a 4th grader.

Doctors deserve the most respect, because most people wouldn't be able to do what it takes to become a doctor. Then soldiers, then a very, very distant third is teachers.
Soldiers deserve the most praise, because most people wouldn't be willing to do what it takes to become a soldier. Then a very, very distant second are doctors, then teachers. Especially since doctors already get paid more than soldiers, so there's no need to further praise them.

Well, the medical profession requiers the most schooling and training, so you have to respect the dedication involved. Doctors also, obviously, provide a direct and vital service to those who are ill - at least, when they get it right.
Teachers, similarly, invest a great deal in thier education, though not as much as doctors, and they perform the vital task of educating the next generation - very badly in America, for whatever reason, but probably, in most cases, that's not the fault of the teacher. Rather, we should respect that they go into the proffession and accomplish as much as they do in spite of our deeply flawed system.
Finally, though the soldier doesn't require nearly so much education, he does go through very demanding training, and puts his life on the line to protect the other two.
You could single out one of those proffession for the highest level of respect and praise, but in doing so, you certainly shouldn't stint on respect and praise for the other two.

I find difficulty adoring or admiring anyone based solely upon what they do for a living. Society has done this for a long time with doctors, and it has been to our great detriment.
I will respect all three...providing, as you say, they are all top-skilled in their field. And as all three are in varied and different fields that are all required in our society, it is like choosing an apple over an orange.

I think the soldier because without them we would not have a country to work or learn in. The pay the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We owe them more MUCH MORE than they get from our government.

Adoration and admiration are subjective issues, but there would be little chance for a stable society in which the teacher or doctor could ply their trade without the services of the soldier.
An unfortunate but very real fact of humanity.
The members of the United States military have my eternal gratitude.

A soldier, because its a harder path then a teachers path. Im sure becoming a docter is hard, but it they payoff at the end comes in a load of cash. Soldiers do it for a pretty low income.

Though they all have outstanding respect from me, I would pick the soldier. First of all, they all help people, but a soldier will actually give his life for his country, the ultimate sacrifice. Without the soldier, what quality of teachers or doctors would we have? Because of our freedom, we are able to have wonderful teachers and docs to contribute to all of our futures. God bless them all.

unless the other two want to be forced into their careers by an oppressive government who will decide what everyone should be and payed less then they make now (the teachers anyway) all are good professions but come on it wasnt a band of teachers or doctors who defeated hitler or napoleon or fought the redcoats for freedom
i have heard some slight on teachers although i may not agree with it "those who cannot do.....teach."

I appreciate and respect all three positions. I will add Our President, Police, Firemen and Missionaries. My praise goes to everyone who cares about other people enough to devote themselves to them. Sometimes, even without monetary reimbursement which many of these people do. That is over and beyond the call of duty.
I often tell people that I appreciate them just because they are my friend and I want them to know that I do.
