I would play online but I cant get internet fast enough to run it.

Is there another game out there like Guild Wars or World of Warcraft that doesn't need to be online?

Guild Wars is online only, sorry, you have to have an active internet connection to play.
There aren't many games really like Guild Wars, since anything offline tends to have a differnt control scheme. I'd try Diablo 2, Titians, Dungeon Siege, or any of the other numerous Diablo 2 clones.

Guild Wars is an MMO game. By definition that is entirely online. I have some friends that play using a dial-up connection. It's not great, but they are able to play once they load into an area. It just takes forever for them to load.
If you prefer offline games, check out the Final Fantasy series.
