Your neighbor paints with a very broad brush. I am another cauc who does not fear blacks; never have, never will...at least not because of one's skin color.

That's a pretty big and broad assumption. I wouldn't say "all white fear black" but I would agree that many do. Racism stems from fear and hate... basically fear of what you don't know. We all know there has been and continues to be a huge problem with racism in North America. If you read some of these posts, you will see many that say things like "A black family just moved in next door, what can I do to protect myself?" Garbage like that, so in light of those types of posts, fear is definitely a factor.

I wouldn't necessarily say all but I'm sure there are plenty that do. Its all in how they act toward people of color. Its not just Blacks, it includes Latinos & Asians too. Did you see the movie Crash? There is one scene in which two of the characters are in a posh part of the city, are really well dressed but THEY felt out of place. So we often have a fear that something may happen to us based on past experiences. Things like complete towns being destroyed and murders via lynchings would have you believe that caucasians do have something against people of color. Oftentimes a family moves into a neighborhood but have to leave because of the abuse they suffer. Not all people of color are slackers, slobs, on public assistance, etc., just like there are many caucasians that are.

I don't trust MOST PREACHERS(of all races) because most are hypocrites.
But I do believe in God and try to follow God's teachings.
