We don't have money for our defense?? At last budget cycle the military took over 500 billion dollars. Our wonderful little war will cost over 1 trillion (TRILLION) dollars by the time it's "done." The military budget is approaching 1/2 of our ENTIRE budget.
It sure is a tragedy that we don't have enough money to defend ourselves. Were we all to be so poor.....

For the same reason we spend millions feeding and rebuilding other countries but thousands of our own people here in this country go without simple things like food and shelter Don't make much since does it.
Or we spend billions in afganistan rebuilding or building roads and bridges when our own are falling apart and killing people ?????

Don't worry it's a good investment when you consider all you can make from controlling the oil in the region. Israel needs a lot of weaponry to terrorize and if necessary murder their neighbors who would like to use their natural resources for their own interests.

We have the money for defense, Congress (not the President) won't approve the funds. It is Congress' duty to allocate funds for various programs. Since we have a Democratic Congress this could be one way for them to bring the war to an end.

"Defense" money is very well spent on Israel. As they really can't stop the war on terror, no matter who we elect as our next President chooses to do.
