Hes lost his job, his chareer is pretty much over, he gave money to the school to use at there disposal, he publicly apologized. the rutgers accepted his apology publicly. DO we live in a society where we have to bury him into the ground to the point on non existance? then will that be justice? How much more, and how much longer does he have to pay the words he said on the radio?

Now hes being sued by one of the players for defemation of charachter and slander? She feels he was pointing out her as an individual. I do not think she will get anything, if this even makes it to court.

what about Michael Richards? the comedian who flipped out on 2 black guys? possibly 10 times worse?. he apologized and it is now forgotten.

your thoughts?

Stupid. I think it will be thrown out. He was wrong saying those things. He apologized. He was fired. They should just move on. I don't believe his comments harmed her to the extent that her reputation was ruined and she needs monetary compensation.

Hello, I answered a similar question yesterday. This might be a repeat answer. I feel that too much had been made of this. And i feel that imus has been saying some horrible thing's about others for years. No one made a big deal to correct him! He must have felt he had a right to act that way. The first time that i saw him,i was so upset at the way he was so rude and arrogant to others! But after time i realize that his personality! And people accepted it! So why now are they making a BIG DEAL? No one has to watch or listen to him! And the thing that REALLY upset me with this---- is how people used him! He helped so many people! The main help he gave was threw his time and caring donations! But he helped so many sell books,cd's....Etc. And the======= politicians used him for votes! So many of them were on his show's sometimes daily! No one corrected him or made an attempt to! Where were they when he needed them? They deserted him! One of them that comes to mind is Senator Dodd. He was on talk shows saying how much he was against imus. But how many times was he on his show talking about his children? On Morning Joe today (MSNBC) Joe talked about how few were there for him! We all make mistakes! Leave him alone! I MISS HIM SO MUCH!

What Imus said is completely off the chain and deserved discipline. But, for one of those women to really take it so personal as to make a mission out of suing him after all the damages he's had inflicted on him - well, I just don't think it's an example of getting on with one's life. It's been blown way out of proportion, and therapy would probably help more than some money. Just my opinion.

The Rutgers team ACCEPTED his apology. There is no need for this lawsuit...other than it will get this woman rich in no time.

I think the Duke lacrosse players should sue Al Sharpton for his remarks involving their supposed 'rape'...that would be so awesome.
