I am using the Verizon $5 (250 txt) plan. I heard that the messages you send and recieve (which aren't from Verizon) count towards the 250 messages. I have a friend that lives in Canada who of course doesn't use Verizon, and if I want to text her, will it be included in the plan? Are there any additional charges? How about if she sends me a text?

****If you are completely sure that your answer is right, please respond. I don't want to pay a lot of money because of what someone thought was right. Write down your source as well. Thanks!!

I work for Verizon so I can tell you that international text is not included in the 250 text package. However, depending on where specifically in canada (mainly close to U.S) and has an american number you wont be billed as international text. So basically if she signed up in the u.s and just took her phone with her, then no. If she signed up in Canada however, then you'll be charged. Its based on her phone number.
