the three Yahoo Answers rules that I live by
- People are ignorant
- People are biased
and most importantly
- People are idiots
I have nothing against people rooting for their team no matter what, but the people who get on and say that their favorite team is going to win....and then don't even offer up mature opinions on why....those are the people that bother me

Because no matter what liberals want to make people believe... human beings have a need to win. You can try and not keep score but in the end everyone knows who won.
As a football fan the Superbowl is the climax to a season. Winning it means you are the best of all the other teams.
People identify with a team so of course they want their team to win it all.
Most people know some team aren't talented enough to win it all... but its always fun to root for the underdog even if that dog is their team!

that is a very broad generalization. I am a raiders fan and i was actually hoping and betting that the chargers were gonna make it. there is a difference between a football team fan, and a Football Fan. a Football Fan will analyze stats, records, injury reports, draft picks and a whole variety of information in order to best make an educated decision on who will win the Championship.

becasue we can't wait for the regular season to start. Right now there is just a lot of anxiety, and speculation about how good each team is going to be. NObody really knows how far their team will go, but everybody has an opinion. It will get better after the season starts. You won't have as much speculation but you will have a lot of Shi# talking going on!!!

I am an Eagles fan and I believe this year will be New England Patriots v Seattle Seahawks. And the final score 38-27 Patriots over Seahawks.

Of course they do dude. If you are a fan, you root for your team. The season has not starter yet so every team has the same record. If you don't at least pretend to hold high expectations for you favorite team, you ain't much of a fan.

you never know, anything can happen. Players get injured so easily in football and when it is a star player it can take a toll on the whole team, except for the eagles this past season. JEFF GARCIA WAS AMAZING!!!!

Of course I'm gonna say my team (Bucs) will win. That's what being a fan is about.
If I say another team,(for instance--Pats) then the Bucs surprise the hell out of everybody, I'll be called a bandwagonner. I'd rather be a homer.

It's fun to see how many people think you're favorite team will reach the super bowl. Plus It's fun to see how many people will just get on the answer chart just to be a douche.
