It still astounds me there are people out there that still feel the Mccann's "only made one mistake".....what a bloody sad world we live in...when a child is neglected we shout "leave them alone they've lost a child..............they made a mistake"
Yes they did...they made it bloody easy for some sick sod to take her.......
Get real people if they hadn't left those 3 children alone in an unlocked room the likely hood is she'd still be with them now....at the very least they'd have made it difficult to get her....but no...some people think it was ok to leave the doors unlocked in case of fire...but to leave them alone was safe...
The only one I feel for in this whole scenario is Maddy........
I wonder if these people will say the same thing when another child or children are left alone. I very much doubt it.....they'll be screaming to Social Services about neglect.
Yet it seems likely that some parents reading some of the answers on here about the Mccann's would deem it a fit way to parent.....after all if anything happens to their child they can always make the excuse that it was "reasonable" to do so........
My fear is that we're living in a society where some people already think them fit and sensible parents.....and will (god forbid) follow their arrogant, selfish and downright wrongful example of parenting.

I certainly hope so. At least they should be charged with neglect and child endangerment. Perhaps Social Services should take the twins away as well. Who knows what other charges they may face. There should be a complete and thorough investigation of this whole sad case in the U.K. This may be why they are still in Portugal. Until there is, we may never really know what a happened to poor, sweet little Maddie.

I hope so. I do not think they are evil, but they are stupid and irresponsible to a degree that they should not be allowed to be parents.
If their child had not been taken, and the social services found out about their neglect, it wouldn't even have been a question. Does the fact that their child was taken make it OK?
Obviously the person(s) who took Maddie should face much greater charges. But the parents who made it so easy for them should be punished as well.

We all know what they did, it doesn't mean you have to go along with those who have turned Gerry McCann into Ian Huntley.
If people are genuine in their beliefs they should be calling for all of the "Tapas 9" who have kids to be prosecuted and their kids taken into care, to argue otherwise is to say we will wait until there is a consequence to your actions.
If their child was taken, do you honestly think that won't be deterrent enough. You honestly think they would be swayed by the MINORITY opinion on here!

They should do, if only to discourage other bad parents from neglecting and abandoning their children in order to have a night out. I very much doubt whether they will face any charges though.

Sorry to say this, as I respect your question, but can't we now leave the McCanns alone on this site.
It is a very sad thing, and my thoughts are with the McCanns at this time, but please people out there, leave it alone, move on, please have respect at their time of need.

Could they get a fair trial after the internet hate campaign and the media coverage. Picking a jury would be almost impossible.

They are guilty of child neglect. Don't know about the rest yet as the mystery has not been solved yet.

Hopefully Social Services will meet them at the airport when and if they decide to come back to the UK. A full investigation and if there is then enough evidence, get them in court for leaving those little ones alone and unprotected at night.
