The character's name was "The Carver". He first appeared in the last couple of episodes of Season 2. "The Carver" then was an ongoing character thru Season 3, and he was captured towards the end of the season.

Didn't they introduce him in Season 2, near the end? He cut Sean, then assaulted Christian in the season finale.
