We're having a water balloon fight however last fight the balloons didn't break easily. What is the best temperature to keep the balloons in before the 'fight', cold or warm?

Warm so the balloons will stretch more.
If it's cold then the balloon will shrink and it'll be really hard to pop it.

I disagree with the above answer from Mr. Mnemonic up there. Think about it, if they stretch when they hit something then they will not break as easily, they should be cold then the latex will be brittle enough to break on impact. Take it from someone who lives in Florida, things are just plain more fun when cold water is involved. It also has to do with your relative temperature. Also make sure you're using water balloons, they are smaller so you don't have to fill them up as much so that they burst.

Make sure you use warm water. There are ballons out there that are "water balloons," but in my opinion they are no different from any other balloon. I do recommend that you use a smaller diameter ballon as opposed to some of the largetr sized ones.
