The answer is very simple: Houston Rockets. Their Big 3 is better than the Boston's Big 3 because Francis and McGrady can both be distributors, Boston has none. Haha, people say the Suns are going to win the Finals. What is this a joke? They just lost Kurt Thomas, and weren't people saying the Suns were going to win it all in the 2005 season? They've had the Nash/Marion/Stoudemire trio for 3 seasons, amd they still can't win a Western Conference Championship. A team can only suffer a certain amount of devastation, the Mavericks have hit the limit. They have no more juice in their tank. Spurs? They are also done. Too old of a team, but they have enough championships. Pistons and Heat are also too old. And don't even bring up Cleveland.

I would say the Suns they were cheated out of beating the Spurs in game 5 after winning game 4 in San Antonio then Amare & Boris Diaw were suspended for game 5 in Phoenix & Phoenix lost by 3 points & Amare would have definetly made a 3 point difference. They should have been playing the Cav's in the last championship. They will do it this year!!! The Suns & the Mavericks will be in the Western conference finals this year. The Spurs were the 3rd best team in the West this year & the Mav's losing to Golden State & the ref's & the NBA helping suspend players off the Suns got the Spurs to the championship this year.

The Piston's hay day is over. They don't have the team they once had. As much as I like Shaq, I don't know if that team is NBA finals material. The Mavs, Suns and Cavs won't win it this year because all three are still 1 maybe 2 people shy of a championship team. My answer is the Spurs. The only person that I know of that they lost is Michael Finley and might lose Robert Horry. Spurs all the way!

Talking about chances, here's my ranking:
1. Mavs - they had the best regular season last year but found no answer for the Warriors. They have the best chance if the Warriors don't end up 8th seed again.
2. Spurs - they are the defending champs, but the Mavs have an answer for them. They will repeat if the Mavs gets the Warriors again on the first round.
3. Suns - they're only chance is if the Mavs and Spurs face each other again in the West semis. But with only Amare on the middle, they still have no answer for TD and the Mavs big men.
4. Cavs - Lebron will continue to improve. But with no new support, it would seem Lebron will have to score all the points of last 2 quarters of each playoff game. I guess, Gibson will help out on a few 3's.
5. Pistons - Only if Wallace stops acting like a baby on critical games. He is the only unstoppable player in the Pistons team, but all those teams in the East know how to crack him mentally.
6. Heat - If Shaq will stay healthy and Dwayne will do an Amare-type recovery. The Heat supporting cast got weaker with Kapono and Eddie Jones seeking greener pastures.

spurs. You gotta respect what they have accomplished at the hands of alot of doubters and neglecters. They put u too sleep through the regular season only to awaken u by winning championships. I gotta go with the defending champs, and I will never doubt them again. Dallas was truly disapointing I lost trust in them. Suns are my second pick, but once again the spurs proved there a better team. Pistons days are over for now. Heat think they can turn it on and off when ever they want. Though u gotta have sympathy for them wade did get injured during a crucial stretch in the season Cavs couldnt beat any of the 1-6 seeds in the west.

I'm all for the Heats. Shaq will stay healthy and all he needs to do is just defense. Wade will be as strong after missing his first week. He's recovery is doing well and fast. Now wIth Penny Hardaway added to the roster, he can replace Jason Williams. That's gonna add more depth to the team. Of course there's also Smush Parker on the bench. That's gonna add more 3pts threat and he's a great stealer. Walker is also a veteran and he'll probably step up for Udonis Haslem. In fact he is a better player because he loves shooting 3s. That makes him a lot different from many other PFs.

Unless they forget how to play basketball, it seems the Spurs are the odds-on favorite.

Shaq is just a tad too old to hoist the Heat to another title, the Suns REALLY need another major player (Stoudemire and Nash can't do it by themselves), the Mavs have only shown that they will choke every single year when it matters most (if they had Garnett instead of Nowitzki, I'd say they would be the favorite this year).

The Cavs? Not just yet; they also need another certified stud or two (LeBron just can't do it alone), and the Pistons are basically done. Yeah, it's been a nice few years for them but they're through.

i'm hoping the pistons, but we have made no moves & the team we have now won't win it all-they are still VERY good, but not quite at the ship level. i hate the heat -they were def a one & done team & the cavs, one man can't carry the whole team every year. i would say the spurs, but they have never repeated-it may change though. the mavs were a huge disappointment last year

i'll say out of all them the spurs.
