I'm in physical science and we're talking about delta symbols, like for change and time and everything. So help? Thanks much.

Change in temperature, pressure, time, many variables are represented by the upper case Greek letter delta. The lower case is not used to represent a change.

The delta capital means change. Usually you use d for small changes. The capital delta means significant change

It exist also a delta not capital named Kronecker deltawhich is small delte with subscripts ij . This has a value 1 for i=j and 0 for i different of j used frequently in quantum physics

Delta(triangle shape) is used to represent the change in quantity.i.e
Delta quantity = final value - initial value

where as del(cannot describe the shape on computer characters) is used to represent small change in value of the quantity.. ie.where limit tend to zero

lets say for example that one test shows a temperature change of 10degrees and another test of a similar product shows a temp change of 15degrees, you would show Delta of 5 degrees.
