I see Democrats sometimes talking about freedom but, seriously, do they have any ground to argue that they're the party in favor of freedom?
They also get support from the pot smokers, the homosexuals..... The Democrats will never legalize pot and if they make gay marriage legal it will be through the courts, not the legislature.

There's never been a socialist utopia - and since we've cut tax rates there are a lot more millionaires than there used to be.

I don't care if Billy and Bobby get married either - - - but my right to not have to support people I've never met is equally sacrosanct.
You can't have it both ways.

To some on the left, confiscating income and failing to monitor enemy communications are both ways to attack and otherwise weaken American society and institutions.
That explains the apparent contradiction.

Losing the freedoms that we already have is wrong. People have fought for these freedoms and now they are being taken away.
You ask if Democrats are the party of freedom and then you gripe about pot smokers, and homosexuals. Smoking pot is illegal, granted, but homosexuality isn't. You can't pick and choose who YOU deem worthy of freedoms. Gays should have the same rights as you and I.

No, I'm not so greedy and ignorant that I would give up my liberties for a few dollars. I realize that the neocon way is to sell to the highest bidder, but some of us still have principles.
And Dems probably get support from pot smokers and homosexuals because they are not bigots like Republicans, if your statement is representative of the Republican party.

I think to some, it is more important to have the freedom of spreading misinformation merely to place a political party above the country...
The "win at any cost" mentality seems favored by some who use Free SPeech in unspeakable ways.

I don't see the connection with my finances and bank account with my civil liberties. I value both... I don't want this administration to spy on its citizens without warrants... period.
BTW, I am NOT a Democrat. So my answer might blow your mind that a person who tends to vote Republican does not agree with you or this administration (gasp!). If we should be under martial law then come out and declare it... until then we need to work with the Constition and the laws of this nation.

The democratic party isn't the same party that it was 30- 40 years ago..The gays were in the closet and afraid to come out..The civil rights movement was in its infancy..now the everybody has rights and that is who the democratic party appeals to.

Freedom would not might desire to be risky each and every of the time. we are able to be secure and unfastened. secure practices might desire to be a appropriate precedence. all of us take adverse aspects interior the living house or out. there is threat in each and every thing notably plenty yet some issues are greater volatile than others and to me secure practices is greater important than some events.case in point i does no longer race a automobile or do extensive mountaineering with suggestions and belts. To me this is an pointless threat and that i do no longer locate freedom in those varieties issues.i like to bypass trekking on a path. i could holiday in a airplane because of the fact the threat is greater precious to me yet in addition i could be bothered approximately secure practices. i does no longer elect to holiday in a small airplane because of the fact I hear approximately them occurring each and every of the time. i does no longer bypass out contained in direction of night till I certainly have an extremely reliable reason. this is while human beings arise lacking in this city. they are asserting they went out contained in direction of the night and have been never considered returned. That makes me think of approximately no longer having freedom to bypass out overdue at night because of the fact i like to be secure. i do no longer walk interior the woods by myself because of the fact this is not secure for a woman to do or possibly a guy. If I had a gun on my part perchance i could. this is my nature to no longer be truly ambitious and volatile and that i think of this is a reliable concern.
