The colors of the Dutch flag are the same as the colors of the French, British and American flags; Red, white and blue...

But, at sports games we most often use/wear our national color orange... Our royal family's name is Orange, that's why... We even call our national football squad (and often our other national teams too) Oranje, Dutch for Orange... So, you'll often hear Dutch people say something like "Orange played really bad/good last night..." when they/we are talking about one of the national sport squads...

(the fruit orange is called sinaasappel in Dutch, just to avoid any confusion ;)

(several hundred years ago the colors of the Dutch flag were orange, white, light blue instead of red, white, dark blue... You'll see this flag on old paintings of Dutch ships for instance)

Vincent is right about the color change. That's why it sometimes still is said Orange, Blanche, Blue (French). The colors are the same now as the French flag but the stripes are horizontal, those of French vertical. We also have an Orange ribbon (officially) which goes on top of the pole above the red stripe.
