5,200-pound Volkswagen Phaeton
Lexus LS 430 - 4,905 pounds
BMW - 760Li sedan - not sure of weight - but I bet it's up there
The Heaviest car in recent production is the Soviet built Zil-41407 limousine, which has a 3.88m ( 12ft 9ins ) wheel base, weighing 3.335 tonnes.
A 'stretched' Zil, of which only two or three were made annually, was used by former president Mikhail Gorbachev until Dec 1991. It weighed 6 tonnes and used 75 mm ( 3 ins ) armour plated steel for protection in key area's.
The eight cylinder engine used fuel like it was going out of fashion, 2.2km/litre ( 6 mpg ).
