There are plenty of us who still haven't recovered mentally over the trauma of 8/29/2005. God Bless The Gulf Coast!

I'm more angry over what our President DIDN'T do and what FEMA neglected to do. Living in So. Florida, aka Hurricane Lane, I've gotten used to hurricanes and learned to not get angry, more like frustrated. I can't count how many days I've lived without electricty, good water and other things because of hurricanes. Thinking of all the damage that happens here, I can't fathom what happened there. When I think about it, I'm still shocked because of it. I've seen 25 year old HUGE trees RIPPED out of the ground. It's an amazing thing (I don't mean in a good way, obviously). Right now there's a tropical storm in the Atlantic. They say that in 4 days it'll be a category 3. You go to the grocery stores and there's NO water. You go to the gas stations, and there's a 30 car lineup. Everyone is terrified... and I think Katrina added to that fear... mostly because I think we saw what can happen and because we saw what everyone DIDN'T do to help, until it was too late. So it makes everyone around here really nervous.

I think people are more afraid still than they are depressed - except the people that went through it. I feel so bad for them.

Oh yes, I am sure there are.

I believe (I hear) they are many people living in other places now. Moving itself is very traumatic. Being forced to move is even more traumatic.

I am sure many are suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. That must have been horrifying.

Think of those who lost loved ones or pets in such a horrible way.

Yes I am sure that there are many others still suffering from that tragedy.
